Hi Vic,
God bless you! Your paintings are great and quiet interesting. As i read your testimony, I was inspired to write you since i learned paintings by a miracle. i was a Cristian missionary in Romania for the past ten years. We live by faith and financial matters are always difficult.It's good in a way because that will really exercise our faith in God. Anyway i had been helping homeless people in Romania and it happened that one of them was the best oil painters in one of the academy of arts school in the country. In short it happened that somebody gave me oil paints and just told me Manny paint!Ha! With the encouragement of the other artist in town i slowly discovered that i could actually paint. Thank you Jesus! After painting for 4 years, we were blessed and sold about 35 paintings in Romania and Switzerland. I'm a filipino married to a Swiss, our son was born in Thailand. We had been working in Romania for 10 years and presently staying here in the Philippines.
OK, anyway just want to drop this message and May God bless you and keep you and make you a blessing. I would like to meet you if you have time.

Primarily a mental operation and secondarily an organic function, painting is not an inborn but an acquired skill.
As an intellectual activity, painting is essentially a body of practical knowledge that can be comprehended easily by any prepared mind.
Ontologically, the painting skill belongs to the general category of operative habits.
Only the visible is the proper object of painting.
A finished painting is an image, a formal sign that represents its object by being a visual likeness of it.
Emotions are movements of the irascible and concupiscible appetites. Having no visual characteristics, emotions cannot have a proper visual representation.
Ideas are not proper objects of painting. Ideas are abstract and universal whereas the result of any painting activity can only be concrete and singular.
Painting is not a language, strictly speaking, and, therefore, cannot be a fitting vehicle for communication or expression.
Some possible explanations for the neurotic insistence on painting being an expression of ideas and emotions.
Every transient human activity has an exemplary model and for painting the immediate exemplar is an image, an enhanced version of reality, formed in the mind of the artist.
Painting has both objective and subjective ends. Objectively, a painting should be an image of its immediate exemplar.
A painting should be judged on whether it meets its objective end or not, on whether it possesses all the intrinsic perfections proper to it as an image.
